Ostrovsky Joseph Meerovich (Khmelnitsky, 1935 – Jerusalem, 1993).

Painter. In 1955 he graduated from the painting department of the Odessa Art School. M.B. Grekova. Member of the Union of Artists of the USSR. Since 1989 he lived and worked in Israel, and was the main artist of the city of Sderot. Member of the World Association of Artists and Sculptors. Exhibitions: in Russia, Ukraine, USA, Israel, Canada, England, Japan, Australia, Italy, Germany, Hungary, Yugoslavia, Bulgaria. Works are in museums, galleries and private collections in Israel, Russia, the USA and other countries. He died in September 1993 in Jerusalem.
