Studied at TSUTR (1916-1917, 1919, 1920-1922) with A.E. Kareva, V.V. Lebedev, in VKHUTEMAS-VKHUTEIN (1922-1925) with A.I. Savinova. At the same time, he took courses in stage production skills organized by V.E. Meyerhold. Participant of exhibitions since 1922. Member and exhibitor of art associations “Union of New Trends”, “Circle of Artists” (founding member and chairman of the society). From 1922 he worked as a graphic designer at the Decorative Institute. Painter, graphic artist, theater artist. Author of portraits, landscapes, still lifes, genre and thematic paintings, non-objective compositions, watercolors, lithographs. Participated in the design of mass holidays. Lived and worked in Petrograd-Leningrad (from 1916), Rybinsk (1917-1918), and Marienburg (1937-1941). Works by V.V. Pakulin's works are in the State Russian Museum, in many Russian museums and private collections.
