Palmin Igor Anatolyevich

Soviet and Russian photographer, cinematographer, and journalist. Known for his series on Art Nouveau architecture, he is a laureate of the Russian State Prize in Literature and Art (2003). From 1958 to 1964, he studied at the VGIK Cinematography Department. In 1966, he began working as a photographer. From 1971, he worked as a photographer for the publishing houses Iskusstvo, Sovetsky Khudozhnik, and Sovetsky Pisatel. Since 1980, he has focused on architectural photography. The photographer's works are represented in the collections of the State Tretyakov Gallery, the State Russian Museum, and other Russian museums and private collections.
