Пашков П.П.

Pashkov Pavel Petrovich (1872, Moscow - 1952, Moscow).

Honored Artist of the USSR. Talented graphic artist and painter. Author of characteristic drawings depicting the types of the NEP period. Member of the Moscow Association of Artists. He belonged to an old noble family. He studied at the Imperial Academy of Arts in St. Petersburg. In the 1930s worked as a set designer at the Academic Maly Theater. In 1927, the library of the Moscow Maly Theater hosted an “Exhibition of Original Sketches” by P.P. Pashkova. The artist has repeatedly exhibited at All-Union exhibitions. He taught at the Stroganov School of Art and Industry, together with A.A. Deinekoy, V.V. Pochitalov, O.V. Chistyakov. The artist’s works are in the Radishchev State Art Museum in Saratov, and in the Maly Theater Museum in Moscow.
