Studied at the Kyiv Art School. 1913 left for Paris. With the outbreak of World War I he returned to Russia. 1920 participated in the 1st Jewish art exhibition. Since 1920 he has lived permanently in Paris. He was friends with M. Kikoin, P. Kremny, O. Zadkine and other artists of Montparnasse. In 1945 he took part in an exhibition of contemporary painters and sculptors. 1963 participated in a group exhibition in New York at the Glaze Gallery.
