Pelevin Ivan Andreevich (1840-1917).

Master of genre and historical painting, mosaicist. He studied at the Academy of Arts, and in 1868 he was accepted as a student in the Mosaic Department. In 1870 he was appointed junior mosaic artist. In St. Isaac's Cathedral he took part in the creation of mosaics “The Last Supper”, “Carrying the Cross”, “Evangelist Luke”, “Evangelist Mark”, “Apostle Peter”.
