Pestel Vera Efremovna (1887-1952).

Artist-painter, teacher. In 1920-30 taught in the created A.V. Bakushinsky school "Children's creativity" (Moscow). Supporter of free education. She put forward the thesis about harmony as a means of eliminating contradictions between the child and the world. These ideas were reflected in the fine arts program for schools of the first and second levels (1925-26), which was based on “the art of the child himself.”
