Born in the city of Kuibyshev. In 1966 he entered the Penza Art School named after. K.A. Savitsky. In 1971 he moved to Moscow. He actively worked and exhibited in Moscow and New York in the 1970s and 1980s as a photorealist. One of the outstanding contemporary hyperrealist artists. Works are presented in Russian museum and private collections and abroad.
