In the 1910s he studied at the Moscow School of Painting and Painting with K. A. Korovin; in the 1920s - at the architectural department of Vkhutein. In 1929-47 he lived in Sukhumi, as a production designer at the drama theatre. In 1940 he was admitted to the Union of Artists of Abkhazia. Since 1947 he lived in Krasnodar; occasionally performed theatrical scenery. Paintings from the 1940s have not survived. Questionnaire in the Krasnodar department. The Union of Artists of the RSFSR has been lost. He died in the hospital in complete obscurity.
