Marine painter. Studied at the secondary art school named after. Ioganson. In 1980 he entered the Institute of Painting, Sculpture and Architecture. Repin, and in 1986 he graduated from the workshop of Professor A.A. Mylnikova. Participant of republican, regional exhibitions, as well as exhibitions in St. Petersburg. Since 1989, the artist has been working in the Studio of Marine Painters at the Central Military Museum, fulfilling orders on historical themes, as well as themes from the modern life of the Russian Navy. Since 1994 - member of the St. Petersburg Union of Artists. Reproductions from works by M.V. Petrov-Maslakov were used to illustrate albums and catalogues: “Chroniclers of the Russian Fleet” (2002), “Baltic Fleet. Three centuries in the service of the Fatherland" (2002), "Maritime Glory of Russia" (2003), "Artists of St. Petersburg to the City" (2003), "1000 Russian Artists" (2006), "Maritime Museum of Russia" (2008), as well as many periodicals. The author's works are in museums across the country and in private collections in Russia, Finland, France, Great Britain, and the USA.
