He studied at the Astrakhan Art School (1934-39), at the Riga Academy of Arts. Lived and worked in Tashkent since 1949. He taught at the Tashkent Art School (1949-86). An outstanding master of socialist realism in Uzbekistan in the 1950s. The artist's works are in many regional museums and private collections.
