Peinenborg Jakwes (1882, Helvoirt – 1964, Eindhoven).

Lived and worked in Den Bosch, Helvoirt and Eindhoven. His teachers were H. Moorkerk, R. van der Pol, Servas, van Delft. He became very famous for his Brabant landscapes and paintings of peasants in the interior. The works are distinguished by their technical execution and characteristic combination of color spots. Painenborg's works are represented in many museum collections in Western Europe.
