Creativity G.L. Piotrovsky is a constant experiment. In his works, in which expressiveness, both form and color, forms the core of the entire composition. Especially in the case when the form is already far from imitating nature, and the colors challenge our generally accepted ideas. He uses them alternately, stretching the color substance as if it were a frame. Sometimes it is a bright point, the cornerstone of the entire composition. Sometimes two arched white arches. In other cases, a slightly ambiguously pure black outline. Between them, a color is “squeezed” into the frame. Despite the fact that it is a clear spot, devoid of subtlety, we do not perceive it as filling the background, the “filling” of space. Although there is hardly any texture, density, physical thickness, the painting is still sculptural, powerful, creative. A similar method of painting unites the works of G.L. Piotrovsky, both geometrically broken and aesthetically elegant and possessing strong expression.
