Pieter Van Bloemen (1657, Antwerp-1720, Antwerp).

Studied with Simon van Dauw in Antwerp. Older brother of artists Jan France and Norbert van Bloemen. From 1673 he was master of the Antwerp Guild of St. Luke, and in 1699 its dean. In 1688-94. worked in Rome. A typical representative of the Italianizing trend in Flemish painting of the beginning. XVIII century The works are in museums in Frankfurt, Copenhagen, Stockholm, Madrid, Edinburgh, and Vienna.
