Plastov Nikolay Arkadyevich (1930, s. Prislonikha, Karsunsky district - 2000, Moscow)

Soviet and Russian artist, Corresponding Member of the Russian Academy of Arts (1995), Honored Artist of the RSFSR (1979). Son of People's Artist of the USSR Arkady Alexandrovich Plastov. Graduated from the Moscow Art Institute named after V.I. Surikov in 1953. From 1977 to 1982 - Secretary of the Board of the Union of Artists of the RSFSR, from 1983 to 1991 - Secretary of the Union of Artists of the USSR, one of the initiators of the creation and member of the board of the All-Russian Society for the Protection of Historical and Cultural Monuments. In 1995 - elected Corresponding Member of the Russian Academy of Arts. The author's works are presented in many museum collections in Russia.
