Podobedov Roman Leonidovich (1920, Vladikavkaz - 1990s, Moscow).

In 1939 he graduated from the Penza Art School named after. K.A. Savitsky. Studied with I. Goryushkin-Sorokopudov. Since 1946 participant of exhibitions. Since 1951 - member of the Moscow Union of Artists. In 1980, a personal exhibition of the artist’s works took place in Riga. He created a portrait gallery of party, army, and Riga navy veterans, and numerous images of V.I. Lenin. He has a badge “For cultural patronage of the Armed Forces of the USSR.” The artist’s works are in the Art Museum of the Latvian SSR, in the regional museums of Tambov, Jurmala and other museums in the country
