Pokhitonov Ivan Pavlovich (1850, Kherson province, Russian Empire - 1923, Brussels, Belgium)

Russian landscape painter. He became famous in the early 1880s for his miniatures, mainly landscapes. He was one of the favorite artists of Pavel Tretyakov, who acquired more than twenty works by the master. The author's works are presented in the collection of the State Tretyakov Gallery, the State Russian Museum, the Pushkin State Museum of Fine Arts, the Research Museum of the Russian Academy of Arts and in other private and museum collections.
