Soviet and Russian graphic artist, cartoonist. In 1980–1984 studied at the Studio of Young Cartoonists at the Soviet magazine “Crocodile” with outstanding masters of this genre. Since 1986, he has collaborated with the Krokodil magazine, author of satirical illustrations. In 1992–1997 staff artist at Yuridicheskaya Gazeta. It was during these years that the newspaper had a very loud success in the State Duma. He drew political cartoons. As a reward for himself, he accepted Yeltsin’s decree to close the newspaper. During Soviet times, he took part in numerous exhibitions both in Russia and abroad. Since 1986, he began collaborating with many children's art and educational publishing houses. He made a dozen filmstrips for the Diafilm studio. Illustrated about 200 children's books and textbooks.
