Landscape painter, studied at the Academy of Arts in 1875 - 1882. In 1879 he was awarded a Small Encouragement Medal, in 1882 M. M. Pomerantsev was awarded the title of non-class artist. Since the mid-1880s. he exhibited his works at academic exhibitions. The painter’s favorite motifs were forest and winter landscapes, as well as the image of a road stretching into the distance. The works of M. M. Pomerantsev are striking examples of Russian realistic painting. The artist’s works are stored in the State Russian Museum, the Museum of the Academy of Arts.
