Oleg Ponomarenko was born in 1948 in the Orenburg region. Known as a master of genre scenes and battle paintings. Recognized master of portraiture. In 1966 he entered the Tashkent Art School, and already in 1974 he graduated from the Institute of Painting, Sculpture and Architecture. I.E. Repina. After graduation, he begins to work actively, taking part in numerous exhibitions - both Soviet and foreign. Since 1977 he has been a member of the Union of Artists. Oleg Ponomarenko's works are in many Russian museums and private collections.
