Studied at the Imperial Academy of Arts (1896-1901/02). Lived in St. Petersburg. His works have been exhibited since 1900. Member of the Association of Traveling Art Exhibitions since 1903; Kuindzhi Society since 1905. Exhibited with TPHV in 1900-1915. In 1912 he received the title of academician. The master's works are kept in many private collections in Russia and abroad.
