Popova Anna Alexandrovna

Born in Moscow in 1971. In 1993 she graduated from the Moscow State Pedagogical University, Faculty of Art and Graphics. In 1998 she joined the Moscow Union of Artists (section “Print”). From 1993 to 2000 she worked as an art teacher at school. From 2000 to 2005 she was an artist at the Central House of Artists. Since 2008 - member of the Union of Writers of Russia. He is engaged in painting, graphics, and monumental painting. Anna Popova in her work gives preference to painting, dealing with the problem of the emotional impact of color, the interaction of color and design. Her works are characterized by smooth fluid contours and intense juxtapositions of almost local color planes. “An artist should not break away from traditions, from what is valuable that has been accumulated by artistic culture; everything new in art can only be built as a new floor of this grandiose building. Respect for the artistic and spiritual experience of previous generations is the only lack of freedom that is possible for a creative person. The artist must be completely independent of both market relations and the desire to please the viewer.”
