Postnikov Grigory Nikolaevich (1914 - 1978).

Soviet sculptor, known for his works on space themes. Honored Artist of the RSFSR. Winner of the Stalin Prize, first degree (1950), member of the Union of Artists of the USSR (1952). Since 1949 he worked at the Studio of Military Artists named after. M.B. Grekova. Grigory Postnikov was the first to create a portrait of Yuri Gagarin, and then a whole gallery of portraits of Soviet cosmonauts - 25 sculptural images. The author of the monument-bust to the world's first female cosmonaut, Valentina Vladimirovna Tereshkova, installed in Moscow on Cosmonaut Alley.
