Representative of the Vladimir school of painting. Since 1936 he lived and worked in Vladimir. He graduated from the Vladimir Art and Restoration School in 1951, studied with N.P. Sycheva (former director of the Russian Museum), F.N. Zakharova, S.S. Preobrazhensky. He studied painting by old masters at the Russian Museum. He worked in a scientific restoration workshop. Since 1953 - employee of the Vladimir branch of the USSR Art Fund. Permanent participant in All-Russian (since 1953), zonal (since 1961) art exhibitions. Every year he participated in regional exhibitions.
