In the late 1920s - early 1930s. studied at the National School of Decorative Arts, under N.S. Goncharova and in the workshop of V.I. Shukhaeva. In 1932, she participated for the first time in a group exhibition of young Parisian artists under the pseudonym “Avxente”. Participated in the following salons: Independent (1935 – 1939) and Autumn (1938). In 1940 she left for the USA. She continued to paint and held solo exhibitions in New York.
