Born in the village of Priluki, Saratov region. He received his artistic education at the Kazan Art School, from which he graduated in 1952. Since 1950, he has participated in collective art exhibitions. The artist’s personal exhibitions were held in Kazan, Ulyanovsk, Samara, Syzran, and Saratov. Paintings by S.P. Proshlyakov's works are in art museums in Russia, as well as in private collections.
