Radakov Alexey Alexandrovich

Born in Moscow. Graduated from the Moscow School of Painting, Sculpture and Architecture and the Central School of Technical Drawing of Baron A. Stieglitz, (St. Petersburg) 1905-1917 Works as a cartoonist. He is the author and co-editor of the magazine “New Satyricon”. He visited Paris, London, Madrid, Berlin, where he worked in the workshops of T. Steinlein, L. Foren, P. Oran. During the Civil War he worked as a poster artist. 1919-1921 Creates posters in the “Windows of Satire ROSTA”, Petrograd. 1922-1929 Collaborates in the magazines “Lapot”, “Behemoth”, “Beach”, “Smekhach”, “Atheist”, “Crocodile”. 1941 Makes posters for TASS Windows. All his life A. A. Radakov improved himself in the wittiest and most relevant field of art - satirical graphics. He created a huge number of caricatures and cartoons for newspapers and magazines, posters and drawings.
