He studied at the Paris School of Fine Arts under F. Cormon, and also took lessons from Henri Tso, a Spanish-French artist, and Eugene Narbonne. In the 1920s, A. Reno gained lasting fame as a salon artist. He took part in exhibitions of the Salon, the society of French artists in the Grand Palais, being a permanent member of this organization. In 1928 he received a silver medal from the Salon, and in 1931 he was awarded a gold award.
