She received her education in Moscow. In 1918 - 1919 participated in the 24th exhibition of the MTH, the 2nd exhibition of paintings of the Professional Union of Painters, and the 5th State Exhibition of Paintings “From Impressionism to Non-Objectivity”. In 1919 -1920 lived in Tiflis. In 1921 she emigrated to Paris and accepted French citizenship. She exhibited at the Paris salons: Autumn (1922, 1927-1931), Tuileries (1927, 1929-1932). The artist’s personal exhibitions were held in the galleries Vildrac (1925), La Boetie (1930) and Barreiro (1932, 1933). She was a member of the art section of the Union of Russian Workers art in France (since 1933). In 1935, the works were exhibited at the exhibition “Fammes artistes modernes”. In 1975, a retrospective exhibition of V. Rokhlina was held in Paris. The artist's works have been sold at many auctions around the world, including Sotheby's and Christie's. The works of V. Rokhlina are in many large museums and in private collections in Russia and abroad.
