Rotach Alexander Lukich (1893-1990)

Leningrad artist, architect, member of the Union of Architects of the USSR. Around 1910 he made drawings during the construction of the royal residence in Livadia. A multi-talented person, he worked in several areas of art, and was a popular artist in the 1930s. His drawings with views of Crimea, Leningrad, and Pavlovsk were very popular. He was repressed and released from prison in the 1930s. Later he made an invaluable contribution to the preservation and restoration of architectural monuments of St. Petersburg. His works are kept in national museums.
