Cartoonist, book graphic artist. Studied at the Rostov Art School. Worked for the Krokodil magazine and the Pravda newspaper. He worked in the Don "Windows of ROST", Political Education and the Rostov branch of the State Publishing House. Arrested in 1940, sent into exile, rehabilitated in 1954. Illustrator of children's books: “The Golden Calf” by Ilf and Petrov (published in 1931), “The House Moved” by Barto (published in 1938), “The Adventures of Captain Vrungel” by A. Nekrasov (published in 1939), “Old Man Hottabych” by Lagina (published in 1940), “Uncle Styopa” (published in 1957) and “The Three Little Pigs” (published in 1958) by Mikhalkov. The artist's works are in many museum collections in Russia.
