Rutshteyn Vladimir Abramovich (1992, Moscow - 1987, USA)

Soviet painter, member of the Leningrad Union of Artists (1953), representative of the Leningrad school of painting. In 1941 he graduated from the school at IZORAM. In 1940 he began working as a decorator at the Leningrad Regional Operetta Theater and as an artist of combined filming at the Lentekhfilm studio. In 1952 he graduated from the Leningrad Institute of Painting, Sculpture and Architecture named after I.E. Repin in the workshop of Professor R.R. Frentz. Since 1952 he participated in the largest all-Union and republican exhibitions, painted thematic paintings, portraits, landscapes. The author's works are presented in the collections of the State Russian Museum, the State Museum of the History of St. Petersburg, the Ulyanovsk Regional Art Museum, the Krasnoyarsk Art Museum named after V.I. Surikov and other museum and private collections.
