Ryazhsky Georgy Georgievich (1895, village of Ignatievo near Moscow - 1952, Moscow).

Honored Artist of the RSFSR, full member of the USSR Academy of Arts. In the period 1949-1952 - Academician-Secretary of the Presidium of the USSR Academy of Arts. He studied in Moscow at the Prechistinsky evening work courses in drawing classes (1910-1915) with N.N. Komarovsky, in the studio of M.V. LeBlanc, R.A. Baklanova, M.M. Severov, in the workshop of A.S. Golubkina (1917), in the State Art Museum (1918-1920) with K.S. Malevich. Group organizer N.O.Zh. (1922), member of the AHRR (1923-1930), RAPH (since 1931). He taught in Moscow at the VKHUTEIN (1929-1931), professor at the Moscow Institute of Fine Arts - Moscow State Art Institute named after. Surikov (1934-1952). Author of genre works and portraits of contemporaries. For the paintings “Delegate” (1927) and “Chairwoman” (1928) he was awarded a large gold medal at the 1937 International Exhibition in Paris. The artist’s works are in the State Tretyakov Gallery, the State Russian Museum, and other major museums
