Ryumkin Yakov Izrailevich (1913 - 1986)

Soviet photojournalist. During the Great Patriotic War he was a war correspondent for the newspaper "Pravda", covering the Battle of Stalingrad. After the war he worked for "Pravda", "Soviet Russia", "Ogonyok", and the publishing house "Kolos". He published several author's photo albums. In 1954 he made a series of photographs of the polar expedition "North Pole-3". Photo prints by Yakov Ryumkin are presented in the collection of the Museum-Reserve "Battle of Stalingrad" and in other museum and private collections.
