Salmasov Pavel Petrovich (born 1930, village of Rudakovo, Vologda region).

Honored Artist of the Russian Federation. People's Artist of the BASSR. Painter, monumentalist, graphic artist. In 1948-1953 studied at the Ufa Theater and Art School under A.E. Tyulkin and B.F. Laletin. Since 1957, participant of numerous exhibitions, member of the Union of Artists of the USSR since 1961. Master of industrial and rural landscapes in the traditions of the “severe style”. The works are in the Art Fund of the Russian Federation, in the Belarusian State Art Museum named after. M.V. Nesterova (Ufa), Orenburg Regional Museum of Foreign Art, Udmurt Republic Museum of Art (Izhevsk). The work "New Village" was published in the Great Soviet Encyclopedia.
