Serebryany Joseph Alexandrovich (1907, Chernigov province - 1979, Leningrad).

Studied in Poltava in the studio of M.M. Guzhavin (1922-24), Leningrad College of Arts and Crafts (1924-27), Academy of Arts (1927-31). Lived in Leningrad. He actively exhibited since 1925. His works were exhibited at the All-Union art exhibitions in Moscow in 1947, 1949, 1950, “Soviet Russia” (Moscow, 1960), etc. He taught at the Institute. I.E. Repin in 1948-51, 1954-79. In 1931-34. worked as a theater artist. The master's works are kept in many private collections in Russia and abroad.
