Created scenery sketches for various theatrical productions. in 1941 - 1952 - production designer at the Saratov Opera and Ballet Theater. In 1963 -1981 - chief artist of the Leningrad State Academic Opera and Ballet Theater. S. M. Kirov. I.V. Sevastyanov in his work continued the traditions of Russian theatrical and decorative art, a characteristic feature of which was immersion in the drama and music of performances. The highest visual culture and deep knowledge of the material made his theatrical works independent. Sevastyanov I.V. created about 200 theatrical productions as an artist. Personal exhibitions of Sevastyanov I.V. took place in Moscow (1971, 2009) and Saratov (1991).
