Born in Petrograd in 1923. Lived in Moscow. From 1990 to 1997 lived and worked in Paris. She was a continuer of the traditions of Russian impressionism, remaining faithful to the manner established in her early years of writing and drawing only from life. In 1935-1938 studied in the children's studio at the school in 1905, in 1939-1941 - in the studio of the All-Russian Central Council of Trade Unions with G.K. Dorokhova, took private lessons from Robert Falk. Returning in 1944 from evacuation in the Urals, she entered MIPIDI, from where she transferred to Surikovsky. In 1952 she graduated from Moscow State Art Institute named after. V.I. Surikov (workshop of G. Ryazhsky). Exhibited in Russia and abroad since 1952. Member of the Moscow Union of Artists since 1957. Over seven decades of her creative life, she has created a rich gallery of portrait images, which are distinguished by their filigree mastery of embodiment, subtle psychologism, and the ability to feel and convey the mental and spiritual world of a person. Skubko-Karpas's works are distinguished by high artistic culture and impeccable taste. A separate page of the artist’s work is represented by memorable children’s images. The artist’s works are in many museums, galleries and private collections in Russia and abroad - England, Italy, Spain, the USA, and there are especially many of them in France.
