Skurikhin Anatoly Vasilyevich (1900 - 1990)

Soviet photographer and photo artist. Honored Worker of Culture. Known for his industrial and portrait photographs, as well as photo reports from the Great Patriotic War. In 1924, at the personal invitation of V.I. Lenin's sister Maria Ilyinichna Ulyanova, he began working as a photo correspondent for the Pravda newspaper. In 1929, he moved to the Izvestia newspaper, where he worked for several decades. Participant and prize-winner of numerous all-Union and international photo exhibitions. Author of several photo albums dedicated to the development of Siberia, the photo album "Kirov Region" (1979). Photo prints by Anatoly Vasilyevich are in the collection of the Multimedia Art Museum, in many museum and private collections.
