Soviet graphic artist. Member of the Union of Artists of the USSR. In 1953 he graduated from the Faculty of Graphics of the Institute of Painting, Sculpture and Architecture. I.E. Repina. His teachers were V.V. Sokolov, K.I. Rudakov, G.D. Epifanov, M.A. Taranov, A.F. Pakhomov. In 1957, a place with A.A. Troshichev, V.A. Vetrogonsky and V.M. Zvontsov supervised the first student practice in the Pushkin Nature Reserve. Smirnov's works are in the State Russian Museum and other museums in Russia.
