Abstract artist. Member of the Russian Academy of Arts (2016). In 1949 he entered the Machine-Tool College in Moscow. Participated in more than 50 exhibitions, including the first exhibitions of abstractionists in Moscow (1958), in the 1960s. in the studio of E. M. Belyutin “New Reality”. In 1962, after an article by academician V. Kibrik in the newspaper “Moscow Artist”, I. Snegur, for a book in the publishing house “Malysh”, “To Moscow Children”, was designated as a formalist. From 1964 to 1965 he lives and works in Tarusa. In 1966, he designed the play “Trace after Trace” by E. Verigo in Tula, introducing color music and pantomime into the performance. In 1975, the artist’s works were presented at the vernissage of avant-garde artists in the Beekeeping pavilion at VDNKh. The works are in the State Tretyakov Gallery, the State Russian Museum, many regional museums, as well as in private collections in Russia and abroad.
