Спасский П.И.

Spassky Pavel Iosifovich (1889, Kursk province - 1964).

In 1906 he entered the art school of the Imperial Society for the Encouragement of the Arts. Studied with A.A. Rylova, A.V. Shchuseva, N.P. Himons. In 1941-1942 participated in the restoration of paintings in the halls of the Bolshoi Theater under the direction of P.D. Corina. Since 1945 he worked in the Central Restoration Workshop of the Committee for Arts. The artist’s works are in the State Tretyakov Gallery, the State Russian Museum, many regional museums, as well as in private collections in Russia and abroad.
