Spitsyn Sergey Nikolaevich

Artist, painter, graphic artist. One of the prominent book and easel graphic artists of St. Petersburg. Winner of the gold medal of the Academy of Arts (2003). Graduate of the Secondary Art School (1948) and the Academy of Arts (1954). Member of the Russian Union of Artists since 1955. Regular participant in city, regional and all-Union exhibitions, exhibitions of easel and book graphics (more than 200) and several group foreign exhibitions (Italy, USA, Mexico, Australia, Germany, England, France, Holland); including six personal ones. Worked in book graphics from 1954 to the 2000s. Since 1954, he began constant work with publishing houses: “Detgiz”, “Lenizdat”, “Goslitizdat”, “Soviet Writer”, “Children’s Literature”, etc.
