Stavrovsky Arkady Sergeevich

Painter, graphic artist, monumentalist, designer. He graduated from the First Moscow State University, studied at the department of theory and art history. While studying at the university, he studied painting in various studios, but mainly in the studio of Aristarkh Lentulov. He was a member of the creative association of artists “Being” and exhibited at its exhibitions (1921–1929). Since 1926 he worked as an artist in publishing houses and under contracts. Since 1929, member of the Association of Artists of Revolutionary Russia (AHRR). He was engaged in mass propaganda art and made propaganda posters. In 1938–1941 he worked as a graphic designer at the All-Union Agricultural Exhibition (VSKhV). The works of the artist A. S. Stavrovsky are in the Nukus Art Museum named after I. V. Savitsky in Karakalpakstan, the State Museum of History of St. Petersburg, the museum and exhibition complex in New Jerusalem, and private collections in Russia.
