Artist, sculptor. In 1896–1903 he studied at the sculpture department with G.R. Zaleman and V.A. Beklemishev. In 1904 he attended the Academy of P. Julien. He lived in St. Petersburg, traveling a lot to ancient Russian cities and monasteries. He was a member of the Union of Russian Artists (since 1910) and the World of Art (since 1912). He worked fruitfully as an easel painter, sculptor and set designer (design of the ballet Russian Wedding to the music of M.I. Glinka for the Bat Theater of N.F. Baliev, 1926; etc.). In 1925 he became one of the founders of the Icon society. He made an outstanding contribution to the continuation of these traditions, decorating many churches abroad with his icons and frescoes, including the Sergievsky Metochion in Paris, where Stelletsky was the head of decorative work (1925–1927).
