Graduated from LIZHSA named after. I.E. Repin (1958), workshop of I.A. Silver. Studied with V.V. Sokolova, V.V. Pimenova, V.G. Valtseva, B.M. Lavrenko, B.D. Kharchenko. Participant of exhibitions since 1960. Member of the Leningrad Union of Artists since 1961. Since 1966 he has been teaching at the Leningrad Higher Art School named after. V.I. Mukhina. The artist's works are in private collections in Russia and abroad.
