Sudakov Pavel Fedorovich

People's Artist of the RSFSR (1982), laureate of the USSR State Prize, laureate of the RSFSR State Prize named after. Repin (1984). In 1935-1941 studied at Moscow State Art Institute named after. V.I. Surikov At the end of the war he began to manage the art studio of the border troops (until 1947). In 1947 – 1948 writes the first widely recognized monumental painting, “The Surrender of the Kwantung Army.” Participant of Russian and international exhibitions since 1943. In 1984 he was awarded a medal of the USSR Academy of Arts. P. Sudakov creates entire series of portraits of outstanding people of his time. The artist’s works are in the State Tretyakov Gallery, the State Russian Museum, and in many museums in the country and abroad.
