Member of the Kharkov branch of the Union of Artists of Ukraine since 1938. He studied at the Kharkov Art Institute from 1923 to 1929, where his teachers were: M. Burachek, M. Fedorov, S. Prokhorov, A. Kokel. Since 1927, he took part in regional, republican, all-Union and international exhibitions. Personal exhibitions of Peter Suponin were held: Kharkov - 1971, 1978, 1984,1998; Kupyansk - 1971. From 1944 to 1986 he taught at the Kharkov State Art Institute. Since 1951 – Associate Professor. The artist’s works are stored in Kharkov and Lugansk art museums, galleries and private collections in Russia and abroad.
