He brought new sketches and material for creativity from trips to the Russian North, Crimea, Central Asia, and Central Russia. In 1995, Vladimir Shapaev came by invitation to the UK, where, together with his father, he exhibited his works at the Roy Maels Gallery. Works from major regional museum collections in Russia.
