Graphic artist, children's illustrator, poster artist. He studied at an art college in Kharkov. Before the war, he painted a lot for the magazine “Murzilka”. In 1940, with illustrations by Kesha-Proskuryakov, the book “How an Old Man Driven Death Away” (O. Ulitskaya, I. Vinokurov) was published. Author of war posters: “We will give three to four weeks’ earnings to the State War Loan of 1942. Let’s finish off the vile fascist with a friendly subscription to the loan!” (1942). “Down with the German fascist robber-invaders, the bloody enslavers of the peoples of Europe, the sworn enemies of the freedom-loving peoples of the world!” (1942). “Keep the black grouse away from the grain – harvesting will be loss-free!” (1947). The original posters are stored in the Scientific Library of the Russian Academy of Arts. In the post-war period, he continued to illustrate children's books and magazines; in 1948, the book “Count It” by N. P. Konchalovskaya and V. Lebedev-Kumach “About Smart Little Animals” was published, in 1949 – the book “Uncle Styopa” by Sergei Mikhalkov. He designed children's board games; the IZOGIZ publishing house produced children's postcards based on the artist's drawings: "Uncle Styopa" (1955), "Horse" (1956), "In the Garden" (1956), "Goalkeeper" (1958).
